Peter Fink in collaboration with artist Anne Bean conceived of the idea of a laser originating at the Greenwich Observatory designating the meridian line which crosses the Thames three times - making this important invisible datum line poetically visible through light . The laser since 1992 is now a permanent work seen every evening from the Greenwich Observatory.
