Our proposal involves a wave like 25 m high sculpture rising dramatically above the floating deck of the Melbourne marina. The progressive transparency of the art work culminates in a dramatic crest of colour glass fins designed to cast colourful shadows corresponding to the movement of the sun over site. The crest of colour glass fins was inspired by the aboriginal creation myth of the Yarra River seen as being etched into the landscape by the ancestral creator spirit Bunjil - the wedge tailed eagle.
